Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

SENIOR OMS IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST needed at one of our OMS/PMS clients. Hybrid in TORONTO only. USD $100k - $120k total comp (base salary). Must have experience either in implementation or sales engineering at an OMS/PMS firm or other software in the front to back ecosystem.

Our client provides cutting-edge, cloud-native Order Management System (OMS) and Portfolio Management System (PMS) solutions to hedge funds and asset managers. Their mission is to empower buy-side firms with technology that simplifies operations, ensures compliance, and drives profitability.

Role & Responsibilities:
  1. Implementation Specialist: Provide technical expertise during the implementation process, helping to craft tailored solutions that address client needs and demonstrating the value of the OMS/PMS products.
  2. Implementation Leadership: Personally oversee and manage the implementation of solutions for clients in the US region, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  3. Project Scoping and Planning: Defining project scopes, timelines, and resource needs, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of the implementation cycle.
  4. Onboarding and Training: Responsibility for client onboarding, user training, and post-implementation handover to Support, ensuring the client’s smooth transition to operational use of their solutions.
  5. Stakeholder Communication: Collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, reporting progress, aligning on goals, and managing expectations with clients.
  6. Client Engagement: Develop strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary technical contact throughout the implementation phases. Ensure their satisfaction and address any technical concerns that arise.
  7. Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, and improve the business as a whole with best practices based on your experience.
  8. Strategic Influence: Involvement in defining and driving the product roadmap and client feedback loops with product development to ensure alignment with market demands and client feedback.
Requirements:
  1. Technical Expertise in OMS/PMS: Utilize your deep technical knowledge of OMS/PMS to provide exceptional implementation services and if required, Sales Engineering.
  2. Hands-On Experience: Demonstrate a track record of personal contribution in client implementation, particularly in the investment technology sector.
  3. SQL Proficiency: Solid SQL skills to manipulate, query, and analyze client data, ensuring smooth implementation and troubleshooting.
  4. APIs and Customization: Experience with API integrations and customization, as many OMS/PMS implementations require adapting the system to fit unique client needs.
  5. Strong US Market Knowledge: Bring a minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in the investment technology industry, with a focus on the US region.
  6. Client-Focused: Exhibit a strong ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
  7. Commercial Insight: Leverage your commercial skills to support sales efforts, ensuring that client solutions are both technically sound and commercially viable.
  8. Growth Mindset: Show a readiness to take on more responsibilities over time, including the growth and management of a regional team.
