Job summary

Fragomen seeks a Business Immigration Associate to join a team of experts focused on immigration matters. The role offers a collaborative, client‑driven environment with opportunities to mentor colleagues and advance complex cases.

You will develop strategies, counsel clients on non‑immigrant and immigrant petitions, and support global mobility initiatives. Hybrid work is available in the Toronto area with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• US JD or LLM required.
• Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 2-3 years of experience at Associate level.

Responsibilities

• Develop an expert understanding of client base and firm services.
• Develop case strategies including researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients and triaging initiations.
• Identify and solve escalations and underperformance areas.
• Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural issues and case strategy.
• Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
• Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
• Prepare petitions and applications for government submission.
