Job summary

Porter Airlines Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting to join the finance team in Toronto. You will support the preparation of IFRS-based financial statements, MD&A, and regulatory filings, working with cross-functional partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires strong IFRS technical knowledge, CPA credentials, and 4–5 years of direct financial reporting experience. You will mentor juniors, contribute to process improvements, and assist with the annual audit

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline.
CPA accreditation or designation required.
4–5 years of direct financial reporting experience.
Deep IFRS technical knowledge and ability to apply IFRS to complex transactions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
Produce monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide IFRS-based accounting insights and ensure alignment with internal policies.
Research technical accounting issues and document appropriate treatments under IFRS.
Prepare complex accounting journal entries and technical memoranda as needed.
Support internal controls over financial reporting and participate in audit process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to improve reporting quality.
Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and policy implementations.
