Job summary

Land & Resources Cluster in Toronto, or Peterborough, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to address Ontario's Bill 5 priorities. The role may support Bill 5 related projects as needed.

You will provide comprehensive I&T business analysis, gather and analyze requirements, and advise on policies and standards while engaging stakeholders across diverse projects. Experience with a public sector context and data analysis is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience providing I&T business analysis services for clients with diverse needs.
• Interacts with stakeholders to gather, document and analyze business requirements.
• Develops policies, processes, standards for business analysis within the organization.
• Leads and conducts business analysis to determine I&T solutions.
• Develops strategies, business cases and feasibility studies for initiatives.
• Creates requirements gathering processes (JAD, interviews, mockups).
• Performs business modeling and data modelling activities.
• Monitors progress and reports to management and stakeholders.
• Experience with CASE tools to document requirements and scope.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Team player with a track record of meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provides a comprehensive range of I&T business analysis services for clients.
• Interacts with business stakeholders and SMEs to understand requirements.
• Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes and standards.
• Leads and conducts business analysis to document requirements for I&T solutions.
• Develops strategies, business cases and feasibility studies for initiatives.
• Develops requirements gathering processes (JAD, interviews, mockups).
• Conducts modeling: use cases, data, processes and rules.
• Monitors progress and reports to I&T management and stakeholders.
• Engages in stakeholder management and communications.
• Experience with data analysis and Oracle databases; reviews current state and future state.
• Experience with public sector activities including workflows and approvals.
