Recruitment By Design is assisting a leading Western Canadian firm in finding a Senior/Principal Hydrogeologist to strengthen its team across Alberta and Saskatchewan, including Calgary. The role is permanent and full-time, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will drive business development, provide technical oversight, and mentor staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across mining, energy, industrial, municipal, and environmental sectors.

Competenze

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Hydrogeology or related field.
• Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive hydrogeology experience.
• Proven ability to win work and manage client relationships.
• Strong consulting delivery and client service knowledge.
• Experience in groundwater supply, investigations, mine water management is preferred.

Our client, a leading Western Canadian firm offering comprehensive engineering and environmental services, is seeking a Senior/Principal Hydrogeologist to join their team in Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary or Edmonton. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a base salary commensurate with experience plus a competitive vacation and benefits package.

As a Senior/Principal Hydrogeologist, you will play an important role in business development, client service, technical oversight, and team development. You will help strengthen the firm’s hydrogeology footprint across Alberta and/or Saskatchewan while working closely with teams serving mining, energy, industrial, municipal, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Registered or eligible for registration as a professional member with APEGA.
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in hydrogeology, groundwater consulting, or related water sciences fields.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and winning work.
• Existing relationships within Alberta mining, energy, municipal, industrial, agricultural, environmental, or regulatory sectors considered a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of consulting project delivery and client service.
• Technical experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• groundwater supply development
• hydrogeological investigations
• mine water management
• regulatory approvals and licensing
• environmental hydrogeology

• Interest in mentoring staff and contributing to team growth.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong organizational and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
• Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
