Job summary

BGIS in Edmonton, AB seeks a Journeyperson HVAC - Static with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and a valid province-issued Certificate of Qualification. The role operates facility systems, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, and handles routine HVAC tasks for the assigned facility in line with company policy and trade certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a licensed HVAC/Refrigeration Technician.
• Strong ability to adhere to processes and practices for facility operations.
• Current knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes.
• Ability to work shifts, be on-call/standby and emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Installs air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components.
• Overhauls and services air conditioning, heating units and systems.
• Repairs, replaces and adjusts worn parts HVAC equipment.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with heating and air conditioning units and systems.
• Maintains and monitors facility mechanical and electrical systems.
• Supports preventative maintenance programs and safety compliance.
