The Role

Wood is recruiting for a Senior HVAC Building Services Engineer to join its Minerals and Metals business focusing on large mining projects. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, this opportunity is located at our Saskatoon office and would have overall responsibility for the delivery of Mechanical HVAC / Building Services Engineering on our major projects.

Expected :

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering coupled with proven mining experience in Potash or Uranium
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in process gas ventilation systems, industrial ventilation control in workplace environments, and general HVAC design for industrial applications
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of engineers and designers, planning and delegating workload and deliverables
  • Proven experience in applying ASHRAE Standards, ACGIH, Canadian Building Code, National Plumbing Code, CSA, ASME as it pertains to engineering design of large industrial projects
  • Registered as a professional engineer with APEGS, with ability to register in multiple provinces as required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Desirable :

  • Proven expertise using HAP and Fathom.Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design / drafting considered an asset
