About the OpportunityHeiltsuk Tribal Council has an exciting opportunity for aSenior Human Resources Managerto join our team in thebreathtaking and remote community of Bella Bella, British Columbia.
Reporting to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in managing all HR activities, ensuring compliance with Heiltsuk Tribal Council policies and fostering a positive, culturally sensitive work environment.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and strategic HR initiatives, while mentoring and leading a developing HR team.

About YouIn order to qualify for this role, you must holda Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR)designationanda Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. You will also need5-10+ years of human resources experience, includingmanagement and mentorship responsibilities, preferably ina nonprofit, First Nations, or mission-driven organization.An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience in a First Nations or Indigenous community organization is an asset but not required. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and engage with the Heiltsuk Nation.
