We continue to grow and diversify, most recently with the successful launch ofLulu & Tilda, our line of made-in-Italy cosmetics for kids. As our founders begin to step back from day-to-day operations, we are seeking aHR Coordinatorto lead and mature our HR function.
The Opportunity
As ourHR Coordinator, you will play a key strategic and operational role in shaping the employee experience, leading core HR initiatives, and fostering a high-performing culture. This is a hands-on, senior-level role with full HR oversight across both our Canadian and U.S. operations.
Job Description
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, or CPG industries
· CHRP or CHRL designation strongly preferred
· Proven track record in building and managing core HR systems and processes
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; capable of influencing at all levels
· Strong business acumen, decision-making ability, and strategic thinking
· High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism
· Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills
· Strong experience with employee relations, policy development, and change management
- Demonstrated ability to meet strategic objectives for HR and the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage HR core processes such as talent management, succession planning and employee relations.
· Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional HR (Canada & U.S.)
· Proficient in HR software and reporting platforms
· A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
· High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the hiring, orientation, supervision, performance management and terminations of all of the associates at Creative Education of Canada, Inc. and Creative Education Sales USA, Inc.
- Oversee and manage Payroll
- Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems (Maintain updated employee policy guidebook)
- Build and maintain relationships with all levels of employees.
- Assist with recruitment efforts and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and/or conducting orientation and training programs. As well as retention and succession planning; Oversee the employee life cycle.
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities regarding internship programs and other industry relevant training centers.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR provincial, federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
- Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures.
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others in a respectful manner.
- Develop projects, present them to the Company Board in conjunction with the VP of Operations and implement approved projects.
- Anticipate and identify emerging issues, trends and problems that affect the policies and programs of the company.
- Identify and address issues that affect the overall health of the organization; morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity.
- Supports and promote diversity initiatives.
- Plans and provides an organizational development strategy, direction, advice and counsel to the Company Board as needed
- Maintain and update employee job descriptions when changes are implemented. Ensure these are reviewed by the employee, signed and updated to HR platforms.
- Analyze benefit programs and serve as primary contact with service providers.
- Research, Implement and manage different compensation plans.
- Ensure the security of employee’s records and the appropriate retention periods for a variety of documents.
- Provide direction to all levels of employees for HR related issues.
- Execute HR programs such as training, innovation, employee recognition, activities and recreational programs in a way supporting internal equity and organization's competitiveness.
- Ensure that all paperwork is prepared, approved and signed off when employees are terminated or take a LOA.

- Supervise the administration and maintenance of payroll (in conjunction with the Finance Department) and employee benefit programs.
- Participate in recruitment and selection, promotions, department transfers, contract negotiation, job classification, performance evaluation, consultancy for managers and employee relations according to policies and principals.
- Discover new ways of attracting top talent and ensure that the Company has an emergency succession plan in place for unforeseen staffing changes.
- Provide recommendations on leadership and organizational behaviours.
- Research and Identify government programs that are applicable to new hires and initiatives in the company. Present government funded programs to senior management, obtain approvals, implement and follow up.
- Drive company culture that benefits performance.
- Investigate and provide resolutions for employee relations problems.
- Oversee the Company Charity Committee and participate in events as often as possible.
- Ensure that the company and its employees operate ethically.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company Mission statement, philosophy and ethical standards.

Work Conditions:
