The Role : We are seeking a seasoned Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our global headquarters in Brampton on an 18-month contract. You will support senior leaders in Corporate and Shared Services, acting as a trusted advisor to drive business outcomes through strategic people solutions. Your role involves partnering with leadership and HR teams to navigate complex people challenges, foster collaboration, and support strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic HR support to Corporate and Shared Services functions, including Finance, IT, and Legal, aligning HR strategies with business goals.
  2. Work proactively with leaders to identify talent issues and develop strategic solutions to attract and retain top talent.
  3. Guide managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance and compensation management, and compliance with employment legislation.
  4. Assist in designing organizational structures and processes to support business objectives.
  5. Collaborate with MDA’s HR COE team on initiatives and process improvements.
  6. Manage multiple projects, balancing strategic and operational priorities.
  7. Communicate and facilitate talent programs and initiatives at the business level.
  8. Participate in enterprise HR initiatives, including developing new talent programs.
  9. Lead change management efforts, including communication, training, and coaching.
  10. Analyze HR data to inform decisions and measure initiative impacts.
  11. Support business leaders and employees with timely HR services.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  13. Collaborate with HR functions to ensure integrated services.

Candidate Profile

  1. 7-10 years of related HR business partnering experience.
  2. Experience supporting senior leadership in a high-tech manufacturing environment is an asset.
  3. Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, CHRL certification, or equivalent.
  4. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  5. Experience with change management and coaching.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Business acumen and understanding of business objectives.
  8. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Proficiency in HR analytics and MS Office tools.
  10. Knowledge of employment and human rights legislation in Ontario.
  11. Skills in facilitation, conflict resolution, and risk management.
  12. Attention to detail and confidentiality.
  13. Effective communication and presentation skills.
  14. Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  15. Willingness to travel 15-20%.

Successful candidates must obtain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
