Job summary

Bedard Resources is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join the team at the Kiena Mine in Val-d'Or. The role focuses on supporting managers, recruiting, policy implementation, and employee relations within a mining environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR, knowledge of Quebec labour laws, and is comfortable navigating union-related labour relations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP is an asset; CRHA/CRIA membership is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IR, business administration or related field.
  • At least 5 years in HR, preferably in a senior advisory role and in recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec labour laws.
  • CRHA or CRIA membership is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of ADP an asset.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Autonomy, rigor and good priority management.

Responsibilities

  • Support managers with day-to-day HR matters.
  • Manage recruitment from postings to onboarding.
  • Contribute to talent attraction, integration, and engagement.
  • Assist with policy implementation and legal obligations.
  • Handle employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Contribute to performance reviews, development and succession planning.
  • Manage vacations, overtime, benefits, CNESST files.
  • Participate in HR projects, reporting and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to students or interns in HR.
  • Perform other related duties.

Our client, a company operating in the mining sector, is looking for an experienced, organized and collaborative professional to join its team as a Senior Human Resources Advisor at the Kiena Mine.

Tasks
  • Supporting managers with their day-to-day human resources matters;
  • Managing recruitment activities, from job postings to welcoming new employees;
  • Taking part in initiatives designed to attract, integrate and engage talent;
  • Assisting supervisors with the application of internal policies, HR best practices and legal obligations;
  • Handling employee relations files, disciplinary matters, internal investigations and conflict resolution;
  • Contributing to performance review processes, skills development and succession planning;
  • Following up on employee administration matters, including vacation, overtime, benefits and CNESST files;
  • Participating in various HR projects, tracking reports, organizational initiatives and activities that support a positive work environment;
  • Providing guidance, when required, to students or interns within the HR department;
  • Performing any other related duties.

Job requirements
  • Be available to work in Val d'Or;
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, business administration or a related field;
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in human resources, ideally in a senior advisory role and in recruitment;
  • Have good knowledge of Quebec labour laws;
  • Be a member of the CRHA or CRIA, an asset;
  • Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Knowledge of ADP, an asset;
  • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Show autonomy, rigour and good priority management skills.
