Job description

We are seeking an experiencedSenior HSE Advisor with CRSP designationfor our manufacturing client based in Southeast Edmonton. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site (Monday to Friday) position.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion OH&S initiatives in the workplace while ensuring legislation is adhered to.
  • Support and promote the value of the HSE program.
  • Provide consistent and accurate HSE advice to all team members.
  • Provide support on HSE issues/problems.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of safety plans (with emphasis on proactive initiatives).
  • Carry out risk assessments and participate in incident investigations.
  • Development and implementation of risk management tools.
  • Encourage safe work practices and compliance with procedures.
  • Deliver safety-related training to production teams and individuals as required by the business.

Qualifications and Skills

  • CRSP designation is mandatory.
  • 10+ years experience in a senior HSE role.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in leading teams is an asset.
  • A strong team player with superior organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong work ethic, high enthusiasm and ability to excel in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
