Job summary

Cohere is seeking an experienced Senior HRBP to partner with senior leaders across engineering, research, product and AI teams in a global, remote-first environment. You will drive organizational design, leadership development, and talent strategies at scale, while maintaining clear communication and a collaborative, low-ego approach.

Qualifications

• Has operated at senior or Director-level HRBP scope, Head of People scope, or equivalent
• Has partnered with Engineering, Research, Product, Applied AI, or similarly technical teams
• Has worked in a startup, scale-up, or other high-growth environment
• Has partnered with leaders and teams across multiple countries and regions
• Clear, concise written communication is core to how we operate and influence
• Collaborative, low-ego, and invested in making the whole team better

Responsibilities

• Organizational design: Shape structures, roles, and operating models as teams scale
• Leadership: Coach senior leaders and strengthen leadership effectiveness
• Talent: Lead performance, talent, succession, and critical talent discussions
• Organizational health: Identify and address engagement, retention, capability, and team effectiveness challenges
• People strategy: Translate business priorities into meaningful people and organizational strategies
• Building at scale: Help shape the practices and approaches our People function needs for the next stage of growth
