Job description

Our client, Moonfleet Poultry located in Harriston, ON is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior HR Generalist to play a key role in supporting our people, culture, and compliance. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a growing organization that values integrity, collaboration, and operational excellence. This role is full-time and is required fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace accommodations.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, including support for the Foreign Worker Program.
  • Develop and implement inclusive HR policies and ensure compliance with ESA, OHSA, AODA, and other relevant legislation.
  • Chair the Joint Health & Safety Committee and manage WSIB claims, LOA, Attendance Management and Return-to-Work programs.
  • Analyze HR metrics and support payroll (ADP) and benefits, and HR data integrity.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and support a respectful, high-performing workplace culture.
  • Partner with leadership on change management, organizational development, and strategic HR initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in service, agriculture, or regulated sectors.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or in progress) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, policy development, health & safety, recruitment, and payroll systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation (ex. ESA, OSHA, WSIB, AODA) and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.
