Position Overview
Are you passionate about supporting employees and fostering a positive work environment? As a Senior HR Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our People & Culture team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience. From guiding new hires through a smooth onboarding process to supporting employees during transitions, your work will have a direct impact on our organization’s success. You’ll lead key HR functions such as recruitment, managing leaves, and helping implement impactful HR programs that drive engagement and performance. In this dynamic role, you’ll also maintain employee records, track HR metrics, and contribute to ongoing improvements that enhance our HR processes and culture.
We’re offering a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2 days per week at our office located at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, 2075 Bayview Ave in Toronto. If you're excited to make a meaningful impact, this role is for you!
What You Will Do
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from posting jobs and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and extending offers.
- Create a welcoming onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Manage the offboarding process with professionalism, conducting exit interviews and ensuring all steps are completed.
- Support employees during leaves of absence and help with their smooth return to work.
- Submit bi-weekly timesheets and assist with other administrative HR tasks.
- Serve as the go-to contact for general HR inquiries, offering helpful guidance on HR policies and processes.
- Help implement and support key HR programs that promote employee development and engagement.
- Maintain and update policy and procedure documents and HR content on the company intranet.
- Safeguard confidential employee records and manage HR data with the utmost attention to detail.
- Track HR metrics and create insightful reports to inform HR strategies.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of employee engagement activities, team-building events, staff meetings, and retreats.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve HR policies, programs, and processes.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with special projects as needed.
What You Will Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- A customer-service mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional candidate and employee experiences.
- A creative, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving with a continuous improvement focus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality results.
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- CHRP designation or working toward one is an asset.

Total Rewards Package
The hiring range for this position is $65,000 – 73,000. The salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and competencies that are relevant to this position. This position is also eligible for performance-based compensation.
In addition to salary, our competitive compensation package also includes, comprehensive health and dental benefits, HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan), hybrid work environment with a minimum of two (2) days in office, two (2) float days each fiscal year and additional Sunny Days (long weekend closures in advance of summer long weekends and Christmas Eve).
