Reporting to the Vice President of Talent and Culture, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in the strategic support of assigned team managers and drives culture and HR initiatives. As a true generalist, the individual serves as both a strategic and operational partner for managers and employees, ensuring proactive management aligned with the organization's priorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Influence and guide managers and local leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  2. Act as a change agent and ambassador for the HR vision while staying attuned to the realities of the business.
  3. Optimize and deploy the implementation of programs such as workforce planning, succession management, compensation management, performance management, across the various units to which they are assigned.
  4. Collaborate with the Talent team to develop and implement recruitment strategies, and, when necessary, take on certain local recruitment mandates.
  5. Support and advise managers and employees on HR-related issues: labor relations, professional development, performance, work environment, to foster a positive and engaging workplace.
  6. Lead and actively participate in the continuous improvement of HR practices and processes.
  7. Ensure compliance with HR programs, policies, and applicable laws, while providing recommendations for improvements.
  8. Coordinate or lead training and skills development activities based on local needs.
  9. Analyze HR metrics to diagnose organizational issues and propose concrete action plans to management.
  10. Continuously monitor innovative HR practices and offer recommendations suited to the organizational context.
  11. Collaborate closely with other HR and Talent team members at the national level to ensure alignment and share best practices.
  12. Perform any other related tasks, including certain administrative responsibilities.

Desired Profile:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  2. CRHA or CRIA membership (an asset).
  3. Minimum of 4 to 9 years of relevant experience in an HR generalist or business partner role.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust-based relationships.
  5. Good knowledge of Ontario labor law (and/or Quebec, an asset).
  6. Initiative, autonomy, and results-oriented.
  7. Excellent communication skills, in both French and English.
  8. Knowledge of an HR system such as Dayforce (an asset).
