Role Summary :

The Credit Investment Team manages the Purpose Credit Opportunities Fund and the Purpose Strategic Yield Fund, with $1.4 billion in AUM. The team fosters a culture of absolute return and partnership.

We seek a highly analytical Senior High Yield Trader to oversee capital markets activities, generate investment ideas, and monitor both new issues and secondary markets. There is also potential for sector-specific coverage as an analyst.

Responsibilities :

1. Generate investment reports and analyses; document processes including screens, trading reports, and daily P&L.
2. Lead and oversee activities that facilitate idea generation.
3. Measure progress through company meetings, site visits, analyst meetings, and non-traditional research.
4. Manage the process of monitoring existing holdings and relevant data.
5. Track daily new issue activity; perform relative value analysis.
6. Collaborate with sell-side trading desks to optimize trade execution.
7. Pitch and execute trade ideas to generate uncorrelated P&L.

Qualifications :

1. Experience as a fixed-income credit trader or in capital markets.
2. Strong educational background (BCom, HBA, MBA, CFA) or advanced accounting knowledge.
3. Proven process management and detail-oriented skills.
