Job summary

Fidus Systems is seeking a PCB Layout Designer to create dense, high-speed multi-layer PCBs for diverse applications. You will collaborate with hardware, SI, and mechanical teams to translate electrical requirements into manufacturable layouts.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, zero-defect layouts, and working with board houses to ensure DFA/DFM compliance for high-volume manufacturing. Familiarity with Cadence Allegro, Mentor Expedition/PADS, and Altium is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience laying out dense, high-speed, digital and analog boards.
• Proficiency with Allegro Constraint Manager or equivalent.
• Ability to generate fabrication/assembly/drill files and DFМ reviews.

Responsibilities

• Layout of complex, multi-layer, high-speed PCBs.
• Component placement, impedance matching and routing analysis.
• Collaborate with mechanical and SI teams during development phases.
• Generate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and drill files.
• Coordinate with board houses to ensure DFA/DFM compliance for high-volume manufacturing.
• Research and implement new PCB design techniques to reduce cost and stay current.
