Job summary

York1 in Ontario seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate a range of heavy machinery for spreading and compaction of waste materials at our post-collection facilities or job sites. You will follow safety policies, perform inspections, and maintain records while relocating as needed.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and a strong commitment to teamwork and environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years operating heavy duty equipment and relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate soil excavation/remediation equipment.
• Understand environmental and health & safety regulations.
• Must complete pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine inspections and preventative maintenance, records kept.
• Moves materials using material moving equipment.
• Follow SOPs for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Relocation to different job sites as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
