Job summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Senior Researcher to turn complex health data into clear, credible insights for planning and decision-making. You will lead analytical work, develop planning tools, and collaborate with stakeholders across public health teams.

Reporting to the Health Analytics Branch, you will apply advanced methods in data management, forecasting, and visualization to inform health system priorities and performance measures. Calgary-based, permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a related field plus at least 4 years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Directly related experience or education considered based on one year of education or one year of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications include advanced knowledge of health datasets, programming and visualization tools, and data governance.

Responsibilities

  • Turn complex health data into clear, credible insights to support health system planning and decision-making.
  • Lead analytical products, planning tools, methodologies, and recommendations related to health system utilization, capacity, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate technical findings to diverse audiences.
