Senior Guidewire Business Analyst – Claims Centre

Our client, a major player in insurance, is seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Property & Casualty (P&C) Claims Management with in-depth knowledge of claims operations and regulatory practices outside of Quebec. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry best practices and the ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions. While experience with Guidewire (GW) is a strong asset, it is not mandatory. A hybrid SME / Business Analyst (BA) profile is ideal.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for P&C claims operations across Canadian jurisdictions (excluding QC).
  • Provide strategic insights and operational expertise to improve claims processes, systems, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Participate in workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and user story development.
  • Analyze data and claims workflows to recommend enhancements aligned with industry standards.
  • Support testing, validation, and change management activities throughout project lifecycles.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, business users, and IT teams to ensure alignment on deliverables.

Here's What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance, with a strong focus on claims management.
  • Expertise in claims processes outside of Quebec, including familiarity with provincial regulatory nuances.
  • Bilingual (English / French) strongly preferred.
  • Strong business analysis skills – ability to elicit, document, and communicate requirements clearly.
  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimsCenter is a strong asset but not required.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in system implementation or modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience supporting UAT and QA activities.
