Job summary

Ensero Solutions is seeking a Senior Groundwater Modeller to develop conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models for environmental impact assessments, permitting, water treatment, and remediation projects. The role includes senior technical input, report writing, and interaction with clients and regulators.

The candidate should have 7–9 years in mining or environmental consulting, experience with FEFLOW/MODFLOW, and hold or be eligible for a P.Geo./P.Eng. accreditation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or engineering.
  • Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
  • P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility an asset.
  • 7–9 years of mining or environmental consulting experience with groundwater modelling.
  • Experience with hydrogeological modelling software (FEFLOW, MODFLOW).
  • Strong knowledge of hydrogeological study design and multidisciplinary studies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models to support environmental impact assessments, permitting, water treatment and remediation projects for Ensero clients.
  • Provide senior hydrogeological technical input and act as a Hydrogeology SME to projects throughout Ensero.
  • Technical communications, including report writing and reviewing.
  • Conduct, interpret and report on hydrogeological and water studies.
  • Interpret aquifer tests, characterize aquifers based on maps and other spatial data, and perform spatial analysis.
  • Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
  • Interact and liaise with clients and assessors/government regulators.
  • Identify and prioritize key opportunities for growth and expansion by new client accounts to accelerate business and portfolio growth.
  • Contributes to business development through leading proposal development, scope development and presentations
  • Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise
  • Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture by modeling company values, setting clear expectations, and developing an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • All other duties as required

As a Senior Modeler I you will be responsible for developing conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models to support environmental impact assessments, permitting, water treatment and remediation projects for Ensero clients

About You

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related science (Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or Engineering)

  • Master’s / Doctorate level degree preferred.

  • P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility an asset


Experience


  • 7 - 9 years of relevant experience in mining or environmental consulting with demonstrated success in groundwater modelling and groundwater programs

  • Experience with hydrogeological modelling software (FEFLOW, MODFLOW, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of hydrogeological study design and comfort integrating with multi-disciplinary studies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels


$120,000 - $165,000 a year
