About Poppy Barley

Poppy Barley is a Canadian brand rethinking every step of the fashion industry—from design to factory relationships to shopping experience. We create luxury, sustainable products at fair prices while being driven by our commitment to do better for people and the planet.

Poppy Barley is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to lead and evolve our visual identity across every brand touchpoint. You’re not just designing—you’re guiding the creative expression of Poppy Barley, ensuring our brand feels elevated, modern, and distinctly us. You’ll work closely with marketing, eCommerce, product, and retail teams to shape stories, set creative direction, and bring strategic design to life across print, digital, packaging, and beyond.

We’re looking for someone who can combine visual excellence with big-picture thinking—someone ready to champion the Poppy Barley aesthetic while building scalable systems and bringing bold ideas to the table.

What You’ll Do
  • Shape the Poppy Barley brand identity. Steward our visual language across all platforms—evolving our brand systems while maintaining consistency, clarity, and emotion.
  • Set creative direction for campaigns. Collaborate with marketing and product leads to define the look, feel, and storytelling strategy behind each campaign, collection, or product launch.
  • Design across touchpoints. Execute best-in-class design for digital and print assets, including:
  • Web graphics, landing pages, and pop-ups (Shopify)
  • Email layouts and assets (Klaviyo)
  • Social and paid media content (static, animated, motion)
  • Packaging, in-store signage, and print collateral
  • Lead and mentor. Provide art direction and feedback to junior designers, freelancers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality and brand alignment.
  • Build scalable systems. Develop and manage brand guidelines, design libraries, and toolkits that support efficiency across teams.
  • Act as a creative partner. Bring a strategic lens to every brief—offering solutions, challenging assumptions, and contributing to the bigger brand vision.
Who You Are
  • A brand builder with a sharp eye and strategic mind. You know how to make a brand feel cohesive, intentional, and alive across every medium.
  • Experienced in fashion, lifestyle, or elevated consumer brands, you get nuance, polish, and the emotional resonance of great design.
  • Collaborative and curious. You\'re energized by cross-functional work and love bringing ideas to life with a team.
  • A self-starter who can lead projects independently while elevating the work of those around you.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on execution with higher-level creative thinking and direction.
Qualifications
  • 6–10 years of professional design experience, preferably within a brand, agency, or eCommerce environment
  • Proven experience owning or leading a brand’s visual identity
  • Strong portfolio that includes digital, print, campaign, and brand systems work
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); familiarity with Canva and Figma a plus
  • Shopify and Klaviyo design experience preferred
  • Bonus: Experience setting art direction for photo/video shoots
What We Offer
  • Great co-workers, a fun working environment and opportunity for growth within the company
  • Discounts on our product for you and your family and friends
  • Participation in an extended health and dental benefits package
  • Employer RRSP matching, up to $10,000 per year
  • Hybrid (home/office) work schedule and flexibility in hours
