Job summary

AlgaeCal Inc. is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to lead the creative vision across digital and print assets, email marketing, display ads, animations, social posts, and marketing materials.

You’ll craft intuitive UI designs for desktop and mobile, turning concepts into visuals that grab attention and boost sales. The role requires a portfolio with measurable results, at least 5 years of experience, and mentoring experience; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; strong marketing

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating results in conversion and opt-ins.
• Minimum 5 years experience, with mentoring or reviewing others' work.
• Proven ability with Adobe Creative Suite for branding, UI, and visuals.
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, UI/UX, or related field.
• Marketing-savvy with ability to translate trends into sales-driving content.
• Data-driven with ability to use metrics to refine content.
• Strong knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma.
• Experience with AI design tools like Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Canva AI is a plus.
• Mentorship experience coordinating with PMs.

• A portfolio that wows us. We're looking for proven results—specifically, how your past design work (and the work you’ve guided or reviewed) led to increased conversion rates and opt-ins. In other words, we want to see how your design leadership directly impacted sales. You should have at least 5 years of experience, including experience mentoring or reviewing the work of other designers. Your application will not be accepted without a portfolio.
• Proven skills in creating high-quality concepts and design solutions using industry-standard tools (Adobe Creative Suite) that effectively communicate brand messaging and drive sales. Your portfolio will demonstrate a deep understanding of engaging graphic design, typography, branding, UI, and visual design culture.
• Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, or a design-related field.
• Marketing-savvy: You know how to research, understand, and apply current marketing trends, techniques, and ideas to create content that drives sales.
• Data-driven: You understand metrics and know how to use those insights to create and refine content that delivers measurable results.
• An Encyclopedic Knowledge of Design and Development Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma. Bonus points for skills in Premiere Pro and advanced After Effects techniques.
• Hands-on experience with AI design tools and generative workflows. You know how to put them to work to improve efficiency and output quality. Experience with tools like Adobe Firefly, Claude, Midjourney, Canva Magic Studio, Figma AI, is a big plus.
• Mentorship chops: Proven track record mentoring designers, giving and receiving creative feedback at a high level, and helping plan resourcing and timelines alongside project managers.
• Experience working in a digital marketing environment. If you think a ‘funnel’ is a cake, this might not be the role for you.
