Purpose of Job:

The Sr Global Operations Analyst in GSOC is responsible for two key applications:

  1. Executing and monitoring daily/weekly/monthly scheduled processes for the BESS Payment Application across multiple offices (Toronto, New York, London), managing remote/local devices and servers, and monitoring telecommunication lines/networks (FED, CHIPS, SWIFT, etc.) in accordance with internal documentation.
  2. Processing and monitoring the centralized SWIFT Alliance Access Application supporting approximately 60 branches in Asia and Americas, including queue management, logins, device management, message retrievals, and interfacing with local/remote systems.

The analyst provides first-line support for all BESS and SWIFT users globally, ensuring systems/services are available, operational, and communication lines are functioning 24/7, 365 days/year, on a rotational shift basis. Due to the transaction values and deadlines, timeliness and accuracy are critical to avoid penalties, client impact, or reputational damage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete End of Day and Beginning of Day procedures promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain high online availability by monitoring system interfaces, logs, and scheduled file transfers.
  • Act promptly on deviations from normal processing, creating incident tickets and escalating as necessary.
  • Participate in scheduled tests like Business Resumption and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Handle customer account maintenance requests with accuracy, monitoring queues and communication channels constantly.
Required Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems operations, troubleshooting, and applications like BESS, SAA, Microsoft Office, and operating systems (Tandem HP, Windows, Unix).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, judgment, and technical understanding.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including shifts and extra hours when needed.
  • Teamwork and smooth shift handovers are essential.
What’s in it for you?
  • Inclusive culture promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and allyship.
  • Accessible environment with accommodations available.
  • Upskilling opportunities through courses, cross-functional development, and tuition support.
  • Competitive rewards, benefits, and flexible vacation policies.
  • Dynamic workspace with amenities like coffee, community programs, and collaborative spaces.
