Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Technical Solutions Specialist to join our Public Works department.
Reporting to the Technical Lead, Public Works Solutions, the person in this role will support national sales efforts in the Public Works Solutions vertical. This position will report to the Technical Lead, Public Works Solutions and will work closely with other PW TSS, Regional TSS, Regional Account Managers, and Public Works Professional Services staff to promote and demonstrate Trimble Cityworks & Unity solutions for asset management and community development. There are also opportunities to promote and demonstrate ArcGIS-based solutions, as well as provide GIS technical advice to clients and prospects.
This role will be based remotely in Canada.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Technical Solutions Specialist at Esri Canada:
- Collaborate with prospects and existing clients to understand their technical requirements and business objectives within the Public Works sector.
- Identify, propose and promote Trimble Cityworks & Unity solutions that align with clients' needs and industry best practices, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues related to asset management and community development.
- Lead technical sales engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, sales plans, marketing one pagers, and user guides.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions.
- Be engaged with applicable industry associations and working groups and participate in key industry events representing Esri Canada.
- Develop and demonstrate ArcGIS-based solutions and partner solutions (Trimble Cityworks) and provide GIS technical advice to clients and prospects.
- Support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal development.
- Play a key and effective role in the planning, coordination, and preparation of proposals (e.g., RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses), presentations, benchmarks, and customer information inquiries with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
- Provide post-sales support, including implementation assistance, training, and ongoing technical support to ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide education to Esri Canada technical staff through seminars, demos and lunch and learn sessions on a regular basis, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Provide education to existing and prospective customers through webinars, seminars, virtual presentations in accordance with Esri Canada standards for marketing and communications.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of events, as well as collateral and electronic communication to expand the use of our Asset Management and Community Development solutions across all interested industries.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to ensure client needs are met, record videos, and produce technical marketing materials.
- Team up with Sales and Marketing Teams to perform regular key account reviews and follow-ups.
- Attend industry trade shows, customer events, and conferences in support of presentations to promote our brand, products, and services, or running a tradeshow booth.
What You Bring To The Team- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical solutions or similar role, preferably working with the ArcGIS product platform or partner products like Trimble Cityworks.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Online.
- Experience with ArcGIS mobile applications: Field Maps, Survey123, QuickCapture, etc.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GIS Professional, Trimble Cityworks Certifications).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, or related field.
Additional Requirements For This Position- Strong knowledge of software development, system integration, and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Python, or C#.
- Experience with Trimble Cityworks, Trimble Unity, and ArcGIS platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in consulting, sales support, or sales engineering.
- Bilingual (English and French) written and verbal communication skills would be an asset.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S., with less than 10% travel time.
