WSP on Vancouver Island is seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to lead projects from initial investigations through design and construction support. You will prepare technical studies, provide actionable recommendations, and collaborate across disciplines on infrastructure programs including highways and bridges.

The role requires 10+ years in geotechnical engineering, a Civil or Geological Engineering degree, and P.Eng. eligibility with EGBC.

Formación

• A degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC.
• Minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software (GeoStudio, Rocscience).
• Experience managing investigation programs and multidisciplinary projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead geotechnical engineering projects from investigation to design and construction support.
• Prepare technical studies and reports with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate across disciplines on infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, dams, buildings).
• Share expertise across regions to strengthen technical excellence and innovation.
• Manage geotechnical investigation programs, including subcontractor coordination and tendering support.
• Evaluate complex geotechnical challenges like settlement, slope stability, liquefaction, frost effects.
• Oversee field programs including drilling, in-situ testing, and construction monitoring.
• Contribute to project delivery aligned with quality, schedule, and budget targets.
