WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for its Burnaby office. This role involves leading geotechnical investigations and overseeing complex projects across Western Canada, managing everything from planning to execution while evaluating challenges.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, a degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, and a P.Eng. designation. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
This role leads geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for multidisciplinary infrastructure, energy, and development projects across Western Canada. It involves managing medium to large projects from planning and budgeting through execution and client engagement, evaluating geotechnical challenges such as settlement, liquefaction, slope stability, and excavation design, preparing and reviewing technical reports and construction documentation, leading field programs and construction QA/QC activities, and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.
