Job summary

EllisDon in Canada seeks a Sr. Specialist, Geospatial and Reality Capture to lead field geomatics on major construction projects.

You will manage survey control, GNSS/total station work, and georeference point clouds with Leica workflows, ensuring data quality before delivery. Responsibilities include drone and terrestrial laser scanning, BIM to GIS integration, and building geodatabases, dashboards, and deliverables for VDC services.

Qualifications

Three to six years of applied field geomatics or survey experience.
Experience with GNSS RTK and network RTK, total station work.
Proficiency in coordinate systems, datums, projections, and geoid models.
Fluent with photogrammetric processing tools such as Pix4D or Metashape.
Experience registering point clouds in Leica Cyclone or Autodesk ReCap.

Responsibilities

Survey Control and Georeferencing: establish and document survey control, tie point clouds to project control, validate registration quality.
Field Capture Operations: drone capture planning, flight reviews, site risk assessments, field readiness of geospatial hardware.
Geospatial Data and Deliverables: build geodatabases, create GIS deliverables, and automate processing workflows.
Delivery and Client Support: provide technical input to proposals and acts as technical POC for geospatial scope.
Support the development of VDC Specialists in survey control and geospatial fundamentals.
