Job summary

Magna Mining Inc. is seeking a Senior Geologist, Production to deliver sustainable and reliable mine geological services for underground operations at the Levack Mine in Sudbury, Ontario. The role emphasizes collaboration and operational excellence.

You will lead grade control, geological modelling, drilling, QA/QC, and reporting while supervising staff and ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cross-team coordination with mine planning, engineering and metallurgy.

Qualifications

  • Formal education in geological sciences or related field.
  • Professional Geoscientist designation in Ontario or eligibility to obtain.
  • 7+ years of mineral exploration with focus on underground mining.
  • Knowledge of underground mining methods.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and perform grade control, geological mapping, orebody interpretation and reconciliations.
  • Design and implement diamond drilling programs, core logging, sampling and QA/QC practices.
  • Ensure geologic models, including short-term block modelling, are up-to-date and accurate; collaborate with exploration teams.
  • Supervise and mentor geologists, technologists, and field personnel in production geology.
  • Ensure production geology activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver monthly production reconciliation between mine and resource model.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on geological performance, ore quality, and KPIs.
  • Identify and implement improvements to geological processes and technologies.
  • Collaborate with mine planning, engineering, operations and metallurgy teams to optimize resource extraction.
  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Job Description

TheSenior Geologist,Productiondeliverssustainable and reliable mine geological services to support safe and efficient underground operations at Magna Mining’s Levack Mine.

Requirements

Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

  • Post-secondary education in Geolog ical Sciences , Geological Engineering , or a related field.
  • Pr ofessional Geo scientist designation in Ontario or eligibility to obtain P GO is required .
  • 7or more years ofmineral exploration, with a focus on underground mining operations.
  • Sound knowledge of underground mining methods.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety practices in underground mining.
