Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. in Toronto, ON, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise‑scale Generative AI solutions.

You will own system architecture, agentic workflows, and GenAI pipelines across backend services and APIs. Ideal candidates bring deep GenAI, NLP, and LLM experience, hands‑on practice with TensorFlow/PyTorch, and a track record of mentoring engineers in Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Java, R, and SQL.
• Frontend and full‑stack development experience with ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
• Strong foundations in Generative AI, NLP, and NLU.
• Expertise working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
• Experience with LangChain and familiarity with LangGraph and Ollama.
• Understanding of agentic system design, tool use, and workflow orchestration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of vector databases, RAG pipelines, semantic search, and embedding techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in microservices architecture, service‑oriented design, and building scalable REST APIs.
• Expertise in API‑driven development and integration patterns.
• Experience with model packaging, containerization, deployment pipelines, and operational monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of enterprise‑scale GenAI solutions.
• Own system architecture and end‑to‑end GenAI pipelines.
• Design agentic workflows using LLMs, tools, and orchestration frameworks.
• Build and integrate GenAI pipelines including inference, embedding, and API exposure.
• Collaborate with data/platform teams on vector search and semantic grounding.
• Develop frontend‑backed GenAI apps and robust backend services.
• Create scalable microservices and secure RESTful APIs for AI capabilities.
• Integrate GenAI functions with modern web interfaces.
• Drive CI/CD releases and containerized deployments for AI apps.
• Mentor engineers and participate in architectural reviews.
• Promote engineering best practices and Agile delivery.
