Job description

Our client, a leading home comfort solutions company, is looking for Senior Gas Fitters in 3 different locations - Ottawa, ON, Saskatoon, SK, and Sault Ste. Marie, ON to join their team for fulltime positions.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about company and customers.
  2. Professionally install HVAC equipment, accessory items, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  3. Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  4. Responsible for being willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team.
  5. Create a positive relationship with customers; offering for sale other company products and services, demonstrating your ability to communicate and problem-solve to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Adhere to all safety rules.
  7. Never sell the customer a repair they do not need.
  8. Explain the benefits of newer highly efficient equipment to the customer.
  9. Maintain company vehicle to neat, clean, and safe standards.
  10. Successfully obtain HVAC leads and enroll CPP to company performance targets.
Qualifications and Licenses Required:
  1. A growth mindset: above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious, and want to grow.
  2. Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications and have completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  3. Must have certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313D).
  4. Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
  5. Must have a valid ODP certificate.
  6. Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
  7. Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts as required.
  8. Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  9. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
  10. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e., Electronics/electricity).
  11. Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
