Job summary

Smoking Gun Interactive is seeking a Senior QA Tester to join its embedded test team in Downtown Vancouver. You will drive bug detection, verify feature implementations against design specs, and help maintain test artifacts across development cycles.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in game QA, experience testing PC and mobile titles, strong communication skills, and familiarity with defect tracking. On-site role with full-time commitment and competitive CAD compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA testing experience in the game industry.
• Experience testing PC (Windows) and Mobile games.
• Strong documentation and process in writing test plans.
• Experience using defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for testing game content for bugs and other flaws.
• Verify proper implementation of features against design specifications.
• Maintain a reporting system to track and verify fixes throughout the test cycle.
• Design, write, and execute test cases during all phases of product development.
• Provide written and verbal reports on bug status, features, performance, and playability.
• Escalate risks and blocking issues when uncovered.
• Run build verification checks across devices and mobile platforms.
• Be the voice of the consumer.
