Next Level Games, a Nintendo subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Game Designer for our Vancouver studio on a hybrid schedule. You will craft gameplay moments, work with directors and engineers, and drive core features from conception to completion in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Shipped 1+ games, preferably console titles.
• Experience across phases of game development, multi-project/genres.
• Strong problem-solving in design and proactive coordination with departments.
• High proficiency in programming or scripting; scripting gameplay moments and enemy encounters.
• Strong layout skills; 3D spaces impact on gameplay and pacing.

Responsibilities

• Create carefully crafted gameplay moments guiding players through fun experiences.
• Collaborate with Game Director to champion project design directions.
• Present design ideas clearly to multiple disciplines and teams.
• Own core game features and drive them through conception to completion.
• Foster iterative, collaborative environment across disciplines.
