WHAT'S THE ROLE?

We have a vacancy for a Senior Game Designer to join our team. Working closely with the Design Team, you will play a key role in designing various aspects of our games to deliver the best experience.

You will support the Lead Designer by writing, collaborating, reviewing design documentation, systems, unit implementation, and balancing & testing.

Your passion for Turn-Based Tactical RPGs will be crucial to your success in this role.

This is an on-site role in Winnipeg. We offer a relocation package for the right candidate.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Manage key areas of game design, scope, quality, and feature delivery.
  • Communicate ideas clearly to your team, accept feedback, and adapt designs accordingly.
  • Define, estimate, and deliver features and tools.
  • Prioritize features, bugs, and scope to meet deadlines and address issues.
  • Manage and communicate risks.
  • Support team growth through mentoring and active support.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Experience as a Game Designer in the industry.
  • Full-cycle development experience on at least one AA+ / AAA title, preferably Turn-Based Tactical RPG.
  • Understanding of game design needs across production phases.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills and ability to give and receive feedback professionally.
  • Problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure.
  • Ability to articulate a shared vision and act as an ambassador for the game.
  • Quick analysis of game mechanics and systems to focus on high-value features.
  • Player perspective thinking, including onboarding and tutorials.
  • Experience owning feature design from feedback to iteration.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE
  • Game UI / UX Design experience.
  • Knowledge of current & historical Turn-Based Tactical RPGs.
  • Experience with Unity.
  • Management or mentoring experience.
