SITA in Montreal is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to lead technical design, development, and maintenance of applications for our telecom configuration system. You will work across platforms, applying DevOps practices to deploy and support production systems.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems with Java/J2EE, Spring, REST/SOAP, and modern cloud services, while guiding junior developers and ensuring code quality and security.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent technical discipline related to this position.
• Minimum 10-12 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in the telecommunication domain will be an asset.
• Bilingual (English/French)

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Champion SITA-approved AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and overall software delivery while complying with security and governance standards.
• Writes and delivers complex code and modules for new features, debugs existing code and modules, and as the "Technical lead" guides less experienced Developers - FTEs, Contractors - on such activities.
• Participates in the development of coding practices, guidelines and all technical processes and ensures they are followed by less experienced Developers.
• Owns the assignment and allocation of defects to appropriate Developers for fixing.
• Participates in gathering, managing, and analyzing requirements to design new application and system features.
• Participate in documenting test cases for current and future QA.
• Responsible for overall estimates produced by himself or less experienced Developers on a team for all technical work.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable APIs to enable seamless integration between products
• Review functional and technical requirements, raising potential issues and participating actively in design discussions with stakeholders.
