Opportunity Snapshot

As a Senior Software Developer, Full Stack at Pixieset, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a product that is transforming the photography industry. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and delivering new product features for over 1 million users globally. In addition to your hands-on involvement, you’ll mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow and excel in their careers. This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative and challenging projects, while witnessing the direct impact of your work as we execute our exciting product roadmap.

Your Impact

  • Design, develop, and implement product features across the full stack, with a focus on frontend development using Javascript (Vue.js) while also working with PHP (Laravel)
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with best practices
  • Contribute to a wide range of projects, from small front-end UX enhancements to large-scale architectural updates across multiple codebases
  • Maintain and enhance Pixieset’s product and systems infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and work closely with the team to solve complex technical challenges
  • Mentor software developers, conduct code reviews, and uphold coding standards to ensure high-quality development
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to continuously improve the development process and product capabilities

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Developer building custom web applications
  • 1+ year of experience with Javascript and preferably Vue.js, jQuery, ES6, Webpack, React
  • 1+ year of experience with PHP and related frameworks (Laravel, Yii, or Symfony)
  • Experience with relational database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and Redis
  • Solid understanding of web technologies including HTTP, RESTful services, and cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with system design, architecture, data structures, algorithms, and API integrations
  • Experience mentoring and coaching software developers
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, strong communication skills, and a good sense of product design

The typical salary range for this position is: CAD $114,950 - $158,550 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
