Job summary

Techso in Montreal is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to influence technical decisions while delivering robust digital solutions for clients in Montreal and beyond.

You will mentor peers, participate in architecture discussions, and help improve development practices within an Agile, CI/CD-driven environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least six years of experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented Java development and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience in front-end development using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and Hibernate.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD environments.
• Experience in an Agile and collaborative environment.
• Bilingual English and French communication with colleagues and clients.

Techso is looking for a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to help design and develop digital solutions used by leading clients in Montreal and internationally.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor less experienced developers, and help improve our development practices.

What You'll Do

Depending on the projects assigned to you, you will:

• Design and develop new applications;
• Enhance existing solutions by adding new features and resolving issues;
• Analyze client requirements and contribute to solution architecture;
• Prepare technical and functional specifications;
• Estimate the effort required to deliver projects;
• Participate in production deployments and support change management activities;
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and development best practices;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Agile practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment processes;
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including effort estimation and the evaluation of new technologies;
• Share your expertise and mentor junior team members;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile Scrum teams.

The Profile We’re Looking For

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• At least six years of experience in Java development;
• Strong expertise in object-oriented Java development and Spring Boot;
• Solid experience in front-end development using React, Angular, or Vue.js;
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and tools such as Hibernate;
• A good understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration and deployment environments;
• Experience working in an Agile and collaborative environment;
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows environments;
• The ability to communicate professionally in both French and English, as you will collaborate with colleagues and clients located in Quebec, across Canada, and internationally;
• Strong teamwork skills, autonomy, and a genuine desire to actively contribute to the solutions delivered.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps;
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases;
• Experience with ETL processes;
• Knowledge of other technologies such as Node.js, Python, C#, PHP, or other complementary programming languages;
• Experience in solution architecture, mentoring, or technical pre-sales.
