Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer - Senior Vice President to lead architecture and hands-on development of secure, scalable applications in a distributed environment. You will shape standards, mentor teams, and drive delivery across frontend and backend stacks using React, TypeScript, Python, Java, and modern AI tooling.

You will define patterns for REST/gRPC APIs, AI integrations, and cloud-native deployments with Kubernetes/OpenShift.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer - Senior Vice President is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Architect Scalable Solutions:Design and architect secure, resilient, and high-performance full-stack applications capable of supporting complex Agentic AI workflows.
• Define Standards:Establish and enforce technical standards, design patterns, and best practices for full-stack development and AI agent integration across the organization.
• Technology Evaluation:Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, libraries, and tools to continuously evolve our technical stack and maintain a competitive edge.

Full Stack Application Development

• Hands-on Engineering:Lead and contribute to hands-on development across the entire application stack, ensuring clean, modular, and production-ready code.
• Frontend Excellence:Oversee the creation of highly responsive, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces usingReact, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and modern state management libraries.
• Robust Backend Services:Design and build scalable microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs usingPython (FastAPI/Flask)and/orJava (Spring Boot).
• Data Management:Architect data models and integrate with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL/Vector databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, Milvus, or Pinecone) to support stateful AI operations.

Technical Stack & Competencies

• Frontend:Deep expertise inReact, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3,
• Backend:Advanced proficiency inPython(FastAPI, Flask, Celery) and/orJava(Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
• Agentic AI:Proven experience withLangChain, LangGraph. Solid understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector embeddings, semantic search.
• APIs & Protocols:Strong experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, andModel Context Protocol (MCP).
• Cloud & DevOps:Hands-on experience withKubernetes / Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and CI/CD platforms (Harness, Jenkins, or Tekton).
• Security:Strong understanding of enterprise security concepts, including OAuth2, OIDC, TLS, HashiCorp Vault etc
• Databases:Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Couchbase) databases.
