Cognizant in Halifax, Nova Scotia is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable web applications using React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js. You will collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders to drive innovative digital solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building modern web applications with React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong React.js expertise including component-based architecture, state management, and front-end performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and OO JavaScript principles.
• Experience with Git version control and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

About The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering modern, scalable, and high-performing web applications using React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with Product Owners, UX designers, QA teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative digital solutions.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• 7+ years of experience developing modern web applications using React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong expertise in React.js, including component-based architecture, state management, and front-end performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Object-Oriented JavaScript principles.
• Experience working with Git version control and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Redux, Context API, or other modern state management frameworks.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
