Job summary

Workstream is hiring a seasoned Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our cloud-focused engineering team hybrid in-office two days weekly. You will work with cross-functional partners to deliver scalable features, practice TDD, and contribute to robust, high-availability software for the hourly workforce platform.

Ideal candidates have 8–12+ years of experience in full-stack development, proficiency in Python/Java/JS, and strong cloud, database, and caching knowledge.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript for full-stack development.
• Strong understanding of programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with scalable systems and CI/CD.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of caching (Redis/Memcached) and AWS cloud.
• Distributed systems design mindset and modern development practices.
• Continual learning of new tech trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering Managers to deliver features.
• Write high-quality, testable code with emphasis on reliability.
• Communicate with stakeholders across teams in English.
• Contribute to design decisions for distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering velocity.
