About the Role!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications. In this role, you will leverage your full-stack expertise to tackle complex technical challenges, ensuring reliability and seamless user experiences.

You will be working in an engineering-oriented fast-paced environment, with minimal management and detailed task definition. You need to be a self-starter and excel at making your own decisions and organizing your work according to the declared goals.

This is a remote position (Pacific Time zone).

You will

  • Use your hands-on expertise in developing web applications at a large scale, including making architectural choices, selecting programming languages and frameworks, and implementing them.
  • Showcase your familiarity with industry-standard web engineering practices and guidelines for the entire web development process, including coding standards, code reviews, version control, building, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including users, technical teams, and management, to gather requirements, and explain technical designs / features.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess technical viability, test new technology and explore design options.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

You have

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer or in a similar role.
  • A passion for crafting secure, scalable, and highly available web applications.
  • Experience architecting and leading innovative, complex web projects.
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of strategic stakeholders to bring a product vision to life.
  • Deep knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.JS, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with Spring, Java, Python is a plus.
  • Experience in collaborating with design teams to design, document, and build design systems for scalable and consistent user interfaces.
  • Experience with building APIs and microservice architectures.
  • Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
  • Experience with cloud platforms (we use AWS)
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep Knowledge of performance optimization strategies for web applications.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Understanding of accessibility best practices and tools (e.g., WCAG standards, Lighthouse).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada
