Job summary

CarteNav Solutions, a PAL company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Halifax, NS or St. John's, NL. You will work on full-stack development using Angular and Spring Boot, delivering secure APIs and scalable applications.

You will collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams, participate in code reviews, and provide Tier 3 support during business hours, applying Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on software development experience with modern web tech.
• Proficiency in Angular (TypeScript), Spring Boot (Java), and Docker.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes operations and reactive programming.
• Experience with RESTful API design and OAuth2/OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of geo-spatial concepts and PostGIS.
• DevOps practices and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Angular frontends and Spring Boot backends.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs with security and performance in mind.
• Containerize with Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Provide Tier 3 support, analyze metrics, and improve logging/alerting.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams.
