Job summary

Intuit, Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end design and delivery of full-stack features on the HCM platform. You will work across a modern React frontend and cloud-native backend, tackling complex, compliant calculations and multi-jurisdiction rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full stack capability with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript front end framework (ideally React) and a modern backend language (Java/Kotlin/Go/Python/Node.js).
• Solid grounding in distributed systems, API design, data modeling, and SOA.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building AI-enabled features with real production results and using AI tooling in daily workflow.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate full stack features end to end (React front end and cloud-native backend).
• Own delivery of significant road-map pieces with limited direction from design to production launch.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and uphold standards in reviews.
• Break large problems into sequenced increments and communicate progress and risk.
• Lead features through instrumentation, monitoring, rollout, experimentation, and data-driven follow-up.
