We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong proficiency in Java and either Angular or React, coupled with experience in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications, ensuring seamless integration between the front-end and back-end systems. This role requires a solid understanding of banking applications and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k - CAD $120k/year & benefits.

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java for the back-end and Angular/React for the front-end.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and services to support front-end functionalities and ensure smooth data flow.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and enhance user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the banking and financial services domain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on Java and either Angular or React.
• Experience with back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot) and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of banking processes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
