Job summary

Delta-X Research, based in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to own the software and infrastructure stack for high‑voltage equipment challenges. This mostly remote role offers opportunities to mentor and collaborate with a small, skilled team.

You will work with Python back-end and React TypeScript front-end, participate in DevOps, and partner with Product Development, Research, and Customer Operations. Occasional in-person quarterly meetings may occur in Victoria.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development, building SaaS SPAs with Python and React/TypeScript.
• Experience leading development projects and coordinating other developers.
• Proven remote-work experience in a small company and across teams.
• Strong SQL, relational databases, and ORM knowledge.
• DevOps duties: Linux, CI/CD, containers, IaC, monitoring, security.
• Time-series data and Python scientific stack are a plus.
• Familiarity with the listed stack elements (React, TS, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Own development, deployment, and maintenance of complex software for data acquisition and high-voltage diagnostics.
• Set coding standards, security guidelines, tests, and documentation; perform code reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship; lead projects without formal supervision.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Management, Research, and Customer Operations; estimate work; assist escalated issues; improve workflows.
