Senior Full Stack Developer, Mobile

This position will direct and improve code-first best practices. You will provide high-quality code, perform code reviews, and collaborate on large-scale platform development while supporting day-to-day web-based business activities.

This role will be involved in every stage of the delivery lifecycle and will require collaboration with various team members.

- Vancouver-based team members work in-office every other week (Tues–Thurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM – 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

1. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
2. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to a collaborative and iterative development process.

Code Quality and Performance:

1. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
2. Optimize application performance for scalability and user experience on mobile and web platforms.

Technical Exploration and Innovation:

1. Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in mobile app development and share insights with the team.
2. Experiment with new tools and frameworks to enhance development efficiency and product functionality.

Troubleshooting and Support:

1. Debug and troubleshoot issues in mobile and backend systems, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience.
2. Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to existing applications.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent.
2. Expertise with front-end technologies like React and Next.js.
3. Strong proficiency with React.js and Next.js for building scalable and performant front-end applications.
4. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL for communicating between front-end and back-end systems.
5. Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.) to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
6. In-depth knowledge of performance monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, and similar platforms.
7. Strong understanding of version control systems, specifically Git and Git workflows.
8. Experience with Docker and containerization for development and deployment.
9. Familiarity with cloud services like AWS.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
11. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
12. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working in an Agile team environment.

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 (based on experience, education & internal parity)
