Job summary

Miratech is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java/Spring Boot on the back end and React on the front end. The role is hybrid, based in downtown Toronto with two days in the office.

You will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, collaborating with product, architecture, QA, DevOps and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure software. Strong API, microservices and cloud experience are essential.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build and maintain both front-end interfaces and back-end systems, including APIs, microservices, databases and cloud deployments. You will develop scalable, secure and high-performing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, Python and SQL.

This role suits a strong hands-on engineer who is equally comfortable on the front end and the back end, and who can take part in solution design as well as delivery. You will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, working closely with product, architecture, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders to deliver modern digital solutions that are reliable, maintainable and aligned with enterprise standards.

Working Model

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in a downtown Toronto office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support full stack applications across front-end and back-end environments.
• Build responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces using React and modern web development practices.
• Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs and business logic using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and Python.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures for scalable, modular applications.
• Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Design, optimize and manage relational databases and SQL queries.
• Contribute to cloud-native deployment and operational support on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release processes and deployment automation.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated testing and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack, including UI, APIs, services, databases and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business and architecture requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations and support processes, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and design patterns.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development, including significant full stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Proven experience building scalable web applications with React.
• Familiarity with Node.js and Python on the back end.
• Strong experience designing and building APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, schema design and query optimization.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of application security, authentication, authorization and secure coding principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and modern front-end architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and containerized deployment models.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems or asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of API gateways, observability, logging and monitoring tools.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale environments with high availability and security requirements.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Background in banking, financial services or another regulated industry.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership.
