Job description

This is a long-term contract opportunity with no sponsorship options.

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Delta One Electronic Trading Technology team. This role involves working on Delta One business requirements, implementing small enhancements, and migrating our application to proximity data centres.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain core Java, Scala, web services, and applications, including DevOps tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, plan, develop, and deploy new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Participate in production support and release processes on a rotational basis.
• Support the migration of applications to proximity data centres.
• Work closely with colleagues in New York, London, and China to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• At least 5 years of experience as a senior Java developer.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Fast learner, team player, and adaptable to change.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with React and JavaScript for UI development.
• Proficiency in Scala.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and deployments.
• Previous experience in a front-office trading environment.
