Job summary

AOT Technologies is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure software for government and enterprise clients. You will lead by example, write clean code, and mentor teams to follow architectural best practices.

Remote (Canada) with optional hybrid in Victoria, BC, you will collaborate across disciplines, contribute to API design, data pipelines, and cloud-native deployments while upholding security-first principles.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in solution architecture and full stack development.
• ETL development with Python tools like Prefect or Dagster.
• Front-end expertise with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Backend development with Node.js and/or Python.
• Containerization and microservices.
• Cloud deployment on public or private clouds.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud-native apps.
• CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide solution architecture and technical leadership for web applications, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Design scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions and define architecture, integration, and API patterns.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will design, build, and maintain software applications for AOT’s clients and internal product teams. You will write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code while ensuring applications are scalable, secure, and aligned with architectural best practices.

You will:

Must-Have

• 6–8+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in both Solution/Application Architecture and hands-on Full Stack Development.
• Develop code-first ETLs using Python based tools like Prefect or Dagster or similar tools.
• Front-end expertise with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Backend development experience with Node.js and/or Python.
• Experience with Containerization and Microservice developments
• Design and deploy solutions on Public or Private clouds.
• Strong experience with APIs, microservices, integrations, databases, and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

Nice-to-Have

• Azure Cloud and cloud-native application development experience.
• Data Engineering/ETL experience using Prefect.
